The sun was out, and the stars came out to play on December 29 - the first official day of Rhythm and Vines 2024.

18,000 happy campers, 25,000 festival attendees and 1800 festival staff and crew all enjoyed famous Gisborne sunshine and performances from ICE SPICE, SAMMY VIRJI, PEKING DUK, through to a plethora of breakout Kiwi artists in CASSIE HENDERSON, ROVA and HYAN and more.

Highlights including online sensation and musical genius FISH56OCTOGAN being gifted his own R&V branded bathrobe before performing to a packed out Rhythm Stage. PEKING DUK have become an R&V staple with their consecutive return performance, filling up the Vines amphitheatre before award winning Bronx rapper ICE SPICE and UK garage King SAMMY VIRJI brought day one to a close. ICE SPICE also got into the Spirit of Rhythm by handing out 10 VIP tickets to locals outside Gisborne’s LONE STAR.

Day 2 of Rhythm and Vines features performances from DOPE LEMON, PENDULUM DJ SET, YOUNG FRANCO, RL GRIME, MEDUZA, COTORIE and more.
