Festival Policy

R&V Health & Safety, Policy & Housekeeping

Our festival has a happy & relaxed vibe but please be sensible and look after yourself & your friends. Making a meeting spot at the beginning of the night is a great idea. We also encourage the use of a buddy system. If you need help with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask any of the R&V Info crew, they will be wearing red t-shirts

ENTRY

Rhythm and Vines is a licensed event and therefore strictly R18. Those who are not able to present photo identification will be refused entry to the festival so please make sure you are organised as we’d hate to turn you away – no refunds, you have been warned!

Acceptable forms of ID are –

Photo Drivers License
HAANZ 18+ Card
Passport

Once you have your festival wristband you will proceed through security and bag search. Certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation – alcohol, anything in glass containers, illicit drugs or controlled substances, weapons, lasers & fireworks. Prohibited items that are confiscated will not be returned.

If you are camping in the R&V onsite camping, you are able to move between the R&V On-site camping area & festival freely. Please note only those with R&V On-site camping passes will be permitted into the R&V On-site camping area – this will be strictly adhered to.

WRISTBANDS

You must be wearing a festival wristband at all times when On-site – NO EXCEPTIONS. The wristband remains the property of R&V and we reserve the right to remove from you should you break any of the rules – this includes anyone putting themselves or others at risk or any other form of anti-social behavior.  The wristband is personal to you – any tampering will make it void

COAT CHECK

There will be a coat check available for those with Club Stolen VIP tickets

MISREPRESENTATION

High-Visibility jackets or clothing that may be mistaken for security personnel is forbidden. A false claim to be a member of staff, representative of R&V, or any attempt to gain access to secure and/or out-of-bound areas will be taken seriously and you will be ejected from the event.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

In the case of an emergency evacuation or situation, you must follow all official directives.

PERSONAL SECURITY/SAFETY

If you feel at any time your or anyone else’s health or safety is threatened, you should contact the nearest security guard. There are St John’s Ambulance Officers on site at all times who can be contacted by security

ROAD SAFTEY

R&V has a zero tolerance policy for foot traffic – anyone caught walking to and from the event will have his or her festival wristband removed. We are providing a FREE Bus service (more details under the Transport tab) and a FREE car park. If you chose to drive to the festival you know the rules about drinking. Police will be patrolling the roads in force  – Don’t be a BLOODY IDIOT!

Phone: (06) 869 0200 Fax: (06) 868 0819

PERSONAL PROPERTY AND PRIVATE VEHICLES

At all times you are responsible for your personal property. Items of value, including private vehicles, should be covered under your own personal insurance. R&V assumes no responsibility for theft, damage, and loss of any personal items or private vehicles, even in the case they are placed in the care of R&V staff or representatives.

HEAT

NZ sun is harsh. Skin can burn in as little as 15 minutes in the midday summer sun so please remember to use SPF 30+ Sunscreen 20 minutes before going out in the sun and apply every 2 hours afterwards.   We recommend you wear light clothes, hats/caps and avoid spending too much time in the sun where possible.

DEHYDRATION

High temperatures and excessive activity are reasons for you to drink more fluids. On-site at R&V we have free drinking water stations for you to fill up your bottle – please refer to the site map for locations

DRUGS

Entrance control will be strict and run in co-ordination with the NZ Police. Every year there are people that take it to the excess and ruin the night for themselves and their friends.  Often it’s a mix of alcohol and other substances – watch out for your mates, be aware of what they have consumed and this way you may all be able to party together well into the New Year.
