Julien Dyne
Julien Dyne is a multi talented Drummer, Producer, DJ and Visual Artist, from Wellington
New Zealand, currently based in Berlin Germany.
Best known for his solo output on BBE records worldwide and Wonderful Noise Japan, Julien also performs as a drummer with Soul/Hiphop artist Ladi 6 and has recorded with Fat Freddys Drop, Opensouls and many other top New Zealand and International acts.
Julien attended the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in Rome in 2004 and was invited back to work with the Mizell Brothers (Donald Byrd , Motown etc), Theo Parrish , Steve Spacek (Africa Hitech ), Mark Pritchard ( Harmonic 313/ Africa Hitech) , Om’mas Keith(SA-RA ) Andreya Triana and others as part of the a class of its own recording sessions in cologne in 2007.
Juliens debut solo full length album ‘pins and digits’ received air time and high praise from taste maker djs Gilles Peterson and Benji B, featuring on both djs top 100 lists of 2009.
His second full length album ‘glimpse ‘is due out Jan 2012 on BBE records worldwide and wonderful noise Japan.
