Jono Fektious
Jono Fektious is tipped to be one of the emerging hopefuls, steadily ascending within a new breed of talent from the city of sails. Encompassing a range of versatile sounds in deep bass, techno, electro to jackin’ house. Jono has been fabricat-ing an array of unorthodox sets that has been well received. And with a sincere passion in all things in orbit of electronic music, this is illus-trated in the unique feel & energy that his sets provide. As a kid growing up, Jono had constantly found himself indoctrinated by electronic sounds in techno, trance and house with influences ranging from the likes of Chicane, Rodger Sanchez, Fat Boy Slim, Groove Armada, Tiesto, Cosmic Gate, DJ Wag, S.H.O.K.K. & Scot Project to name a few. At present Jono holds a residency at popular nightclub BE – one of the top bass venues in NZ, where he also hosts a monthly club night – ‘Unlocked’. Jono has also played at a variety of events & festivals such as the Neon Break Festi-val, Ministry of Sound, Our:House, Nightcap Tour, The Big Club Night Out, & Noize Control to name a few. Jono has also featured and supported on lineups with internationals artists such as Avicii, Flux Pa-vilion, Porter Robinson, Pleasurekraft, Mylo, Crookers, Feed Me, Dodge & Fuski, 16bit, Pretty Lights, Cold Blank & more. Aside from juggling life as a student at the Uni-versity of Auckland and SAE, DJing at least 2 nights a week, producing music and working part time, his passion in music has always been first and foremost.
