Dilby
Dilby is a music lover. In fact, from a young age Dilby has been obsessed with music. He has hunted and collected music almost religiously and has always been passionate about sharing this music with others. This is evident in his DJ sets which span genres and work to create an infectious groove on the dance floor. His sound is about energy, funk and above all else, fun.
In the late 90’s and early millennium Dilby was introduced to underground electronic music through local outdoor festivals and events. The excitement of this music grew until Dilby began DJing in 2002. Since then he has not looked back having played clubs and festivals all over New Zealand.
In recent years Dilby has taken his passion for electronic dance music to the world through his original productions. His tunes champion a signature groove and level of attention to detail that is instrumental in everything he does. His productions create dance floor groove that takes inspiration from the early house and techno sounds of Detroit and Chicago, salutes it’s tribal influences and is combined and presented using modern production techniques. This takes on the form of up-front modern house and techno that sounds cutting edge while paying homage to its roots.
Dilby has releases with Baroque Records (UK), Dot Dot Records (Canada), Hi-Life! Records (Canada), Endemic Digital (UK), Cave Recordings (New Zealand), Unrivaled Music (UK) and many more.
